The purpose of this project is to give SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 power users the ability to create and publish InfoPath forms out to a SharePoint site in a way that allows anonymous users to submit the form, all without having to involve the administrative
team of the SharePoint farm.
Out of the box, SharePoint and InfoPath provide no clear route to enabling anonymous form submissions to a form library, except for making data in the form library anonymous as well. There are ways to get around this, such as by using a custom web service
that elevates permissions, but this requires that the form be published with full trust, which means that for every single anonymous-enabled form, the administrative team must be involved to review and publish the form template out to the farm.
This solution takes advantage of the "Submit to ASP.NET Hosting Environment" data connection type that is available within InfoPath. Using this means that power users are able to easily set up a form for anonymous submission, and requires no effort
on behalf of the administrative team (except for the initial configuration).
